De tus pies no abdico... en inglés...




I do not give up on your feet
In your soul how much salt is proclaimed;
who would not wish to pass through your hands
from east to west,
shine in the memory of your valleys.

In your south. In your north.

What hours, what times,
What statues will fall from the calendar if your hands remain silent?

What laurels will not embrace your forehead
If the nights undress with drunkenness
the peaks that inhabit you?

And I prostrate,
being king of your soul,
I do not depart from heaven,
of the earth,
of your feet,
I do not abdicate.
